For those of you who grew up eating your mom’s delicious spaghetti and meatballs, or meatballs and rice, then you know they are one of the most delicious foods you can eat. Each bite is tastier than the last, and you can’t help but feel at home when you eat it. However, as we grow up, it’s no secret that we can’t eat the same foods that we grew up with. But you’re wrong! What if we told you there is a way to eat healthy meatballs and not feel bad about yourself? Well there are some with this recipe, so read on.
How To Do It
We’re not going to lie, this recipe won’t necessarily be what your mom made for you, but it will be tasty and healthy. You will need:
- Package of minced turkey or chicken 500 g
- chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 egg
- Salt, pepper and garlic spices
This process is so simple that you will thank me later. To get started, the first thing you need to do is beat the turkey or ground chicken in the bowl to make sure it is not in the wrapped form. Then add the egg and onion and mix until you get a soft consistency. Add the dressing and olive oil to your liking and roll into balls once done. Place the turkey or chicken meatballs in the 390-degree Fahrenheit oven for 25 minutes, making sure to turn them halfway through cooking.
Once the meatballs are ready, you can toss them on top of pasta in red sauce or combine them with rice and vegetables. Either way, they’re delicious and healthy sources of protein that won’t make you feel bad. Try them out for yourself!
